The Competition Council has decided to allow the sale of 100% of ‘Bauskas alus’ shares to CIDO Grupa without any conditions. Parties expect to complete the deal in few months.

Have you already seen the short film «The secret of Bauska Beer» while visiting our brewery with a tour? The Bauska brewery has always been known for respecting beer traditions and its commitment to the classical beer brewing technology in open fermentation tanks. Starting from the 1stof August we regularly welcome guests to see the inner workings of our brewery – home to the nationwide famous “Bauska beer” (“Bauskas Alus”). Our guided tours are your exclusive chance to meet our brewery team, learn about some secrets in beer brewing, complete with a tasting session straight from the source. You will have time to taste and smell the hops and malt as they make their way through the various stages of brewing, learn about the ingredients, equipment and processes required to make Bauska beer, as it is known over last decades for its taste. When we finish our tour, you will have an opportunity to watch the short film «The secret of Bauska Beer», which has been released to show all steps in beer brewing. Young Latvian actor Andris Bulis will take youthrough the process of how the beer is actually made until we arrive in the final product, will reveal some secrets of the beer brewing and present you the most experienced Latvian brewer, the legend of our brewery – Mr. Kārlis Zālītis. 

December is a very special festive season for Bauska brewery as it started pruduction in 1981. Today our product range includes 8 different types of beer and 5 types of non-alcoholic beverages.

Bauska brewery proudly released “Bauskas Gaišais alus Latvijas 100” as a gift to Latvia to commemorate the country’s 100th birthday. Consumers all over the country have shown a real appreciation of “Latvian 100” light beer, as its sales volume has reached 10% from the total brewery’s beer sales volume within the first 10 months of 2018.

“Kultūras Pils VEF” in Riga has recentrly hosted a traditional awarding ceremony “Most favorite Latvian brewery of 2017”.

2017 was a very rewarding year for Bauska Brewery.

The fifth Baltic Beer Star 2017 competition-degustation in beer, kvass and malt drinks has finished.

Bauskas Brewery has blended two ancient traditions and invested 120,000 euros to develop the very first of it’s highly anticipated craft beers.

Bauska’s latest release ’Own light beer’ (“Savējais”) is sure to delight and inspire beer fans from the moment it hits the nation’s shelves at the start of March .
